This Landmarked apartment in historic Soho is a single-family loft space, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 offices and a living space. We inserted a generous mezzanine to function as the artist studio, and a folded corten steel stair to connect to a large roof terrace through a glass and steel bulkhead.
Above the bulkhead, a wooden and steel shading structure creates intimacy while allowing for 180- degree views. This trellis, with its organic shape, helps create separate shaded areas for lounging, eating and reading on the roof, which is multi-level, and has luscious planting.
