Co-curated by Greg Goldin and Sam Lubell, the Never Built New York exhibition featured illuminated 3D Printed models, plans and drawings designed to animate “never built” buildings as if they were coming to life on the streets of New York. The exhibition was intended to offer a virtual reality of what the Metropolis that is New York City, could have been, and the obstacles that visionary works of architecture face in making it from render to reality.
We were honored to be a part of the exhibition, which took place at the Queens Museum in NYC, from September 17, 2017 to February 18, 2018.
A laser-cut wood and acrylic scale model of our Soho Hotel Tower was featured alongside "150 years of the boldest, most far-reaching urban designs that never made it past the drawing board by architects like Richard Morris Hunt, Harvey Wiley Corbett, Frank Lloyd Wright, I.M. Pei, Steven Holl, Daniel Libeskind, and Diller Scofidio + Renfro", and many more.
